WTF is PMDD and Why Does It Feel Like It’s Ruining My Life?

So, what actually is PMDD?

PMDD is like PMS’ evil twin. It’s a severe, hormone-based mood disorder that affects 1 in 20 women and AFAB people. While PMS might make you feel a bit irritable or bloated, PMDD can bring intense mood swings, rage, depression, anxiety, and a sense of hopelessness—all tied to your menstrual cycle.

You’re not imagining it. You’re not "too sensitive." Your body is reacting to hormonal changes, and it’s very real.

Symptoms of PMDD (AKA The Monthly Sh*tstorm)
